2016 Christmas card competition for local schools

Submitted by admin on

Ruth Cadbury has launched her second Christmas card competition for all primary school children in her constituency. She has invited the children to get creative and start gathering ideas for what they could include in their cards. The winning Christmas card should promote festive cheer in Brentford and Isleworth, as well as to showcase the artistic talent of our pupils. Ruth will choose a winning card later in October.

Ruth says: ‘I hope the competition will be as successful as last year, as it is an excellent incentive for children to develop their inventive and creative skills. I look forward to receiving and admiring the artwork from children in the constituency. I believe it’s important that children have a creative outlet and know that I can expect some brilliant entries from all across the constituency.’

Children have been asked to include use strong colour or contrast in their designs as that prints well. Any theme that celebrates Christmas, another winter-time festival or a wintery theme is welcomed.

The competition is open to all primary school age children in Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth, Osterley and Hounslow. To check whether you live in Ruth’s constituency, you can go to http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/. If you would like more information on the competition, please go to Ruth’s website: www.ruthcadburymp.co.uk. The closing date for entries is 14th of October and the winning card will be Ruth’s official Christmas card for 2016. The designer of the winning entry will be invited, along with their parents or carers to meet Ruth for afternoon tea.
