Please be aware that there are different processes for British nationals still trapped in Afghanistan to the processes for Afghan nationals trapped there. It’s important to note that Ruth can only assist constituent living in Brentford and Isleworth.

If you are a constituent of Brentford and Isleworth, please provide the following details to me at: ruth@ruthcadbury.org.uk. In addition to this, please also contact the relevant schemes under the headings below for British or Afghan nationals.

For British Citizens in Afghanistan:

  • Full name
  • Your full address and contact details
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport Number

For Afghanistan Nationals:

  • Your full address and contact details
  • Full name of those requiring assistance including:
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Relationship to constituent
  • Home Office reference number
  • Passport / travel document number
  • Have they already obtained a visa?
  • Do they have a visa application pending (if so, please provide the reference)
  • Individual(s)' contact details in Afghanistan (unless this puts them at greater risk)
  • Whether your family are eligible for the ARAP scheme and if so, your family's previous roles (please see details of ARAP below

Please complete all the information in your reply to ensure that the relevant Government Department can process this quickly. Any information not completed will cause a delay in processing your enquiry.

If your family are Afghan (or non-British) nationals in Afghanistan and are eligible for ARAP or fall into the following categories, you can also contact the number below.

  • Current or former Chevening scholars
  • People with existing leave or an open application for student, work, or family visas
  • Journalists
  • Civil Society Groups for Women's Rights
  • Government officials
  • Officials working in counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics
  • Employees of charities, humanitarian organisations and NGOs
