To mark the coronation of King Charles III Ruth Cadbury MP attended a number of street parties and events across the constituency organised by local residents and organisations. From Wellesley Road in Chiswick to the Green, to Hounslow, via Brentford and Isleworth, Ruth attended six community events.

Speaking afterwards Ruth said,

‘‘I was delighted to be able to attend street parties from across the constituency over the bank holiday weekend and see the amazing celebrations and work that had gone into making these parties a reality. There was a brilliant range of cakes, food, drink, games and activities for people of all ages and it was great to see so many people enjoying the parties- even with the mixed weather.

‘‘These events really show our borough at its best and are a credit to our local community. I’d also like to thank all the key-workers who worked tirelessly across the weekend to ensure that the coronation, and the thousands of events celebrating it, could happen without a hitch.

The coronation of King Charles III marks a new moment and a new era for our country. The coronation service on Saturday showed the Kings commitment to ensuring that people of all faiths and all backgrounds are included and celebrated in Modern Britain.’’
